The Prep Station operates as a licensed shared-use commercial kitchen, providing affordable and flexible access to professional-grade equipment and vital business development services. Our mission is to reduce the barriers that prevent talented food entrepreneurs from launching and sustaining viable businesses.
Why we're Green
In partnership with waste management and public works, we reassessed waste streams and methodologies. We developed systems to align with SB 1383 and invested into equipment to optimize sorting of waste. Thru education and communication with clients, we reduced landfill by 70% and increased compost by 100%. We replaced old fixtures with LED and Solar and installed low flow faucets and filters.
