This facility is conserving water with low flow fixtures and efficient irrigation for its park grounds, landscaping, and baseball field. The building also uses energy efficient lighting, and is maintained according to green business guidelines along with all of Cupertino's municipal facilities. Monta Vista Rec Center operates on an as-needed basis and so is shut down when not in use to further conserve resources.
