C&L was established in 1981 by Eric Bass, who began working in his late teens for Sontag Plumbing as a stock boy. It was during this time that he began to learn about plumbing parts. He eventually got into sales working for Amfac, Hajoca & Keenan Supply, doing this for over a decade before deciding he wanted to venture out on his own. You probably don’t “really” care that Eric Bass started C&L in 1981. Or that he named the company after his two daughters, Carmela and Leanne. But this is our About page, so we do want to take just a couple of lines to brag about our spot in this corner of the universe: We’re proud to say that we’ve provided just about three generations of companies with exceptional service. We’re still family-owned, and continue to carry on Eric’s ethos of finding joy in finding solutions for our customers.
