Why we're Green
We buy cartons with at least 90% post consumer content. We shredded and recycled 3,600 tons (7,200,000 lbs) of paper last year. It would have used 61,500 trees to manufacture that much paper and 61,500 trees absorb 900,000 pounds of CO2. It would use 25,200,000 gallons of water and 1,368,000 gallons of oil to make that much paper. It would take 14,400,000 KW hours of energy. If put into land fill, the paper we recycled would have filled 10,800 cubic yards.
