Cepheid obtained green business certification in 2009, has been recognized 2009, 2010, and 2011 for the California WRAP award, and received the Sunnyvale Environmental Excellence award in 2010. The City of Sunnyvale has referenced Cepheid as a benchmark for the outstanding recycling program. Cepheid has achieved 80% recycling of all waste materials, has relamped buildings for energy savings, initiated a compost collection program in 2011, and installed two car charging stations.
